70TH ANNIVERSARY

March 2010 marks the 70th anniverary of service to their community by the Chesterfield Ruritan Club.
The club was charted on March 21, 1940 with 32 members. The first club president was W.A. Horner, a businessman and farmer.
The Chesterfield Club was sponsored by the Powhatan Club. In 2010, there are 21 Members, 6 Associate Members, and 1 Honorary Member in the club.
The Chesterfield Club was the "mother club" in Chesterfield County. Today there are 6 adult clubs and 2 Ruri-teen Clubs working in Chesterfield County to share Fellowship, Goodwill, and Community Service.
